Jingtao Li's research interests lie in Earth vision interpretation, with a particular focus on anomaly detection and foundation model techniques for remote sensing imagery. At Tessera, he is interested in working to improve the representation quality of the model and explore its downstream application potential, with the broader goal of contributing to global sustainable development.

Li was drawn to Tessera's approach of treating embeddings themselves as a usable data product, making them available to anyone on demand without the need for major computational resources or storage.

Li earned his PhD from Wuhan University, supervised by Yanfei Zhong and Liangpei Zhang. He joins the University of Cambridge Department of Computer Science & Technology as a research associate.
